Terms of use Draft
A short, plain-language draft. It is not yet in effect and will be reviewed before Syntropium opens to the public.
Draft of 26 October 2026. These terms are between you and Sunergeo Systems (“we”), which makes Syntropium.
1. Using Syntropium
You may use Syntropium to keep track of your own things, for personal or business use. Don’t use it to break the law, to attack or overload our service, or to try to get into accounts that aren’t yours.
2. Your data is yours
What you put into Syntropium belongs to you. We claim no rights to it. Because Premium data is encrypted with keys we don’t have, we can’t read it, and we only store and relay it so your devices can sync.
3. Keeping your data safe is shared
Your catalog lives on your devices. You are responsible for keeping access to them and to the passkey account you use to sign in, and for keeping backups. If you lose every device and your passkey account, your synced data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. We will never be able to reset your access or decrypt your data for you.
4. The beta
Syntropium is currently in beta. Features may change or be removed, and things may go wrong. Please keep backups. Beta testers receive Premium free for as long as we offer it to them, and complimentary accounts may be withdrawn with notice.
5. Premium
Premium will be a paid subscription, sold through a payment provider who will be the seller of record and whose terms will also apply to the purchase. Price, trial, renewal, cancellation and refunds will be stated here before Premium goes on sale. If a subscription ends, the data on your devices stays yours; what happens to the encrypted server copy will be stated here too. No one is charged during the beta.
6. Availability
We work to keep sync running, but we can’t promise it will always be available. The app keeps working on your device when the service is unreachable. If we ever stop offering sync, we will give notice and you will be able to export your data.
7. No warranty
Syntropium is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. It is a tool for remembering where things are; it is not an insurance record or a guarantee that any information is accurate.
8. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us for Premium in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes and ending
We may update these terms and will post changes here with a date before they take effect. You can stop using Syntropium at any time. We may suspend an account that abuses the service.
10. Governing law
Governing law: to be decided.
